Frequently Asked Questions

What you need to know before we Tidy Up.

Why do I need a Professional Organizer?

Organizing is a service & a personal investment that will improve your daily life and mental health by making your home feel like a sanctuary. It allows those with busy schedules or those who just don't know where to start to get an outsider's perspective and create functional, stylish, and organized spaces you love. I can't stress enough how great it feels to be organized; clients say they gain back time, ease stress and feel more relaxed in their own home.

How long will it take to organize my space?

Every space in every home is different. Times can vary, from 30 minutes to do a simple cabinet refresh, to 10 hours for a full garage makeover. I can give ball-park estimates of time frames, however, these are not guaranteed and can change once we get started with the space. You never know what you'll find!

Do I need to buy extra product?

At Tidy Up by Jess, I strive to use what you already have at home. However, certain projects will require specific products to make the space more functional and aesthetically pleasing. It is truly up to you if you want to purchase extra products, but I will always give you my professional opinion and thoughts. I will always create a customized product list and plan for the space, before we purchase anything extra.

Will you clean my space for me?

Although, we love to clean, Tidy Up by Jess is NOT a cleaning service. We are happy to do light cleaning of the spaces before and after we organize, as we never want to organize over a dirty space. Often times, this calls for simple dusting of shelves, or wiping down of products.

Should I choose virtual or in-person organizing?

This decision can be based on the client's needs & abilities. A deadline or time constraints can be a factor in this decision.
Virtual organizing is ideal for those who are self-starters and DIYers. It takes someone who understands the basics of organizing, but just needs that extra bit of guidance.
In-home organizing is for everyone! :)
